Questions
What people ask Eugenia before they hire her
What does the first consultation cover?
An hour to read your notices together, find out what is owed or in question, and talk through the answers open to you. You leave knowing what she would do and what it would cost.
Do you work for a percentage of what you save me?
No. Work is billed by the hour or for a fixed fee agreed in writing before it starts, and the engagement letter says which.
Can you stop a levy that has already started?
Sometimes. A levy can be released when an agreement is reached or when it causes an economic hardship. Call as soon as one arrives.
I haven't filed for several years. Where do we start?
With the filing. She requests your transcripts from the IRS, rebuilds the missing returns with you, and only then talks about the balance.
Will the IRS stop calling me?
Once she files a power of attorney, the IRS writes and calls her, though you will still get copies of the notices by mail.
Do you take clients outside Columbus?
For federal matters, yes, by video and mail. State and city tax work is for Ohio matters only.
Do you prepare ordinary tax returns?
Not as a service on their own. She prepares the returns that are part of a matter she is handling, such as unfiled years or an estate.
